Begin your journey to a more flexible, strong, and peaceful self.

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Brandon Matarozzo and I'm passionate about guiding individuals on their journey to wellness through yoga. My approach to teaching is rooted in the belief that yoga is a powerful tool for transformation, not just physically, but also mentally and emotionally.

My journey into yoga began after university as I sought ways to enhance my mobility and recover from injuries sustained from long-distance running. I quickly realized the profound impact yoga had on my everyday life, from the way I sat and stood to how I breathed and moved. This realization led me to fully commit to a daily yoga practice, and I haven't looked back since.

Experience

I've been teaching yoga for over four years, accumulating hundreds of hours leading group classes, private sessions, and online classes. My training includes 500 hours of study at the Downward Dog Yoga Centre in Toronto, where I delved into Ashtanga Vinyasa, restorative yoga, pranayama/breath work exercises, injury prevention, and mindfulness meditation.

Recently, I expanded my expertise by completing Pilates Mat and Reformer teacher training under the Stott Method at Calm Heart Studio. I'm continuously seeking to hone my skills and explore new movement methodologies to bring into my classes.

In my teaching, I aim to demystify yoga, showing students how it can be adapted for any body using props and mindful movement. I'm committed to sharing the methods that have brought success and balance to my own life, and I strive to deepen the mind-body connection in a way that fits the busy schedules and priorities of modern life.

Experience Includes:

  • A dynamic style of yoga that synchronizes breath with a progressive series of postures for strength, flexibility, and mental focus.

  • A gentle yoga practice that uses props to support the body in passive poses, promoting deep relaxation and stress relief.

  • yogic practice focusing on controlling the breath to enhance physical and mental well-being, increase energy, and reduce stress.

  • A form of exercise focusing on core strength, flexibility, and body awareness, utilizing a mat or a specialized machine called a reformer.
